What do you think about Canada trying to get the US to change environmental laws so they can sell more oil?

The US currenlty refuses to buy oil from canada from any new sites. The US will only buy oil from old sites. But canada wants to drill in new sites, and they want the US to buy it. Canadian lobbyists are all over Washignton trying to get the law changed. What do you think of this. Why do you think the media does't cover it. And do you think it's okay for canada to do this because it's canada. How would you feel if Americans did this?

2. Common sense. We should buy oil from Canada. It has the 2nd largest reserve on Earth. It's a short drive south and that means no more oil spills in the ocean. Did you know every major oil company loses a large ship of oil each year during shipping, right into the sea it goes. The media doesn't usually care because most governments don't care because it is out in deep open ocean.
3. the Left Wing clearly gives canada a free pass on everything, from the seal hunt to it's occupation of Haiti. It's a sick double standard that proves the Left does not care about issues but cares about trashing the US

11. here is a heads up for you ! the USA has more oil than the middle east.starting on the both coasts,alaska,gulf of mexico,colorado,texas and the dakotas.the problem is ignorant eco freaks and radical liberals that stopped domestic drilling 30 yrs. ago.it is time for a revolution,time to take our country back from these assholes !how about .89 cent gasoline again.......all this sh*i*t about windmills and solar is just nothing more then liberal horseshit.
12. Environmentalism is not ignorance, continuing to pollute the planet and hope all goes well sure is, though. I live in Canada, and I'm ashamed to say that our right wing government only stands to do the bidding of big business, and nothing for the common man, just like the Republicans. The time for oil is done with. Green energy is now, go Obama, lead the way!
13. ok :T J , first of all we are NOT occupying Haiti, we don't have anything to do with Haiti except that our governor general is from there. Also, we are not interested in "trashing" the U.S. . Why don't you get your facts straight, you narrow-minded bigot. In regards to the question, Canada is not imposing laws to sell more or less oil. I'm sure that if we did change the laws it wouldn't matter.
